- Solidification -

A multitude of projects in the field of solidification physics are currently being co-ordinated by ESA. These projects were submitted, in response to an Announcement of Opportunity in 1999 (AO-99), and have all received either 'Outstanding', 'Highly-Recommended' or 'Recommended' during the peer-evaluation process. This peer review was based on scientific merit, innovation, industrial interest and microgravity relevance.
